Winter Educational Series: First Aid & Medical Treatment How-To's

As an owner, you play a vital role in the overall health of your horse. Your knowledge and preparedness, along with your horse’s demeanor, can limit or expand the options for their care. Dr. Stephanie Miesen will teach you how to be prepared for common equine medical issues and how to treat your horse when they suffer from these issues. 

Learn How To:
Take a temperature safely
Assess heart rate and respiratory rate
Give oral medications
Safely apply eye ointment
Safely wrap hoof abscesses
Give intramuscular injections
